Dream Destination - Paris.... What do you want to know about Hotels in Paris

Paris is the no one destination in the world. No argument, everyone plan to go Paris one day in life. Therefore though to write some tips for Paris holiday planners to ease to book their hotels. Paris is having more than 600 hotels, but when there is some events happening, we not able find any single room to book at even higher rates. Therefor my advise is to book in advance.

When we consider about Hotels in Paris, we can select 3 to 5 star hotels with different facilities and price ranges. Before you confirm you booking, better to check all the facilities each hotel provide, some hotels offers more facilities like, airport transfers, museum ticket, theater tickets free or at discounts rate. Some hotels give guide booklet to follow city attractions as well. Due to huge competition among hoteliers travelers have more benefits than past now.

Again before finalize you preferred hotel, search for discount sites, some websites give great discounts for some hotels, if we spend sometime on line, it is not much difficult task to get good hotels at lower price.
Anoter good advise is, check you hotel's staff is OK with English. Otherwise communication will be difficult to you.

Some recommended Paris Hotels are

Hotel Splendid Etoile
Four Seasons Seorge v Hotel
Hotel Le Meridian Etoile
Victoria palace
Hotel Le Walt
Novotel Paris Tour Eiffel
Bristol Paris
Hotel Concorde Ambassador
Terrass Hotel
Radisson Sas Paris Hotel
Comfort Hotel Paris Montmartre
Jardins De Paris Nation Bercy
Radisson Sas Hotel Charles de Gaulle airport
Lebron Hotel

Majorca for children

Majorca is on of best destination in Spain and more and more talking about beaches and night life in Majorca. Most of young crowd is going Majorca as partying destination. But do you know, it is much suitable for our kids too. It's all settings, culture, beaches, parks, city attractions have many things to children. I am sure there are no child will say “ No” for second visit to Majorca once they enjoy their first tip to Majorca.

Specially museums and galleries offer many things to childern in any age to learn many things such as history, culture and many more. Palma Aquarium is another good spot to not to miss. This is unique and is know as Europe’s deepest aquarium tank which has 3.5 million liters of seawater. And popular as Big Blue as well. One would come across manta rays, barracudas, sand tiger sharks and even guitar sharks.
Another aquarium to visit is the Porto Cristo's Aquarium of Mallorca which also offers a great deal of childish excitement.

Sure no one will reject to spend hours and hours on Majorca beaches. It is the key in Majorca and it is fit to very small child to very old grand mom and dad too. So whole family can have greate time on Majorca beaches. Most of luxury hotels are accommodated near beaches and no need to wast time on traveling if you selected a hotel near to beach.

In Majorca street festivals are always happening event. So this is also unique experience that our children can have which may not available near home town. Even visiting to shops in Palma also will create different experience to them. Old and modern culture is mixed and remarkable memories can save.

Romance and Your Tortola Yachting Adventure

The boat deck, a wide blue ocean, sunset, a bottle of fine wine, and the person you love - it doesn't get more romantic than that. Tortola and the British Virgin Islands are an ideal place to seek out romance, and the privacy and beauty you'll find in a bareboat yachting trip make your vacation the most romantic you'll ever have in your life.

There are many, many places of romantic beauty on and around Tortola. These are some of the best.

Smuggler's Cove is quite possibly the most private beach on Tortola, outside of the several uninhabited sandy islands with no amenities at all. You'll find one beach bar here, no restaurant, and very few people. Though you may be tempted to strip naked and dive into the water, just don't do it! The people of the Virgin Islands frown on public nudity. Save that for another time. To get here, anchor your yacht nearby and swim or dinghy over; though the yachting companies may tell you not to stop here, many locals do anyway, and it's not a big deal as long as you don't dump waste anywhere nearby.

The Peter Island Resort is a perfect place to base your yachting from. Located on a privately-owned island that is undeveloped outside the resort, Peter Island offers moorings for your yacht, perfect honeymoon accommodations with every resort perk, and nothing to do at night but enjoy one another, the beach, the ripe scent of jasmine, and the brilliant stars overhead. Need a perfect beach on Peter Island? Deadman's Bay, though it has a decidedly unromantic name, is rated one of the top ten romantic beaches of the Caribbean; take a stroll here under the palms and seagrape trees and watch the light of the sunset fade, leaving just the two of you alone here.

Another romantic choice: explore the pirates. The British Virgin Islands, and especially Tortola, were a pirate haven. You can go together to set foot on Dead Chest Island, the original source for the pirate phrase "fifteen men on a dead man's chest." Or sail over to Norman Island, locally known as Treasure Island, where you can explore the places associated with Robert Louis Stevenson's book and have lunch at Pirate Bight Beach Bar and Restaurant. Hike up Spy Glass Hill, and at the top you'll be rewarded with an uninterrupted view of Sir Francis Drake Channel on all sides; this historic spot was used by pirates and privateers to watch for passing treasure ships, and you'll quickly see why. An added bonus: nearby Pelican Island is right next to The Indians and Rainbow Canyon, one of the best snorkeling and diving spots in the world.

Or you can sail from the west end of Tortola along its south coast, passing island after island on the way to Virgin Gorda. The British Virgin Islands were named after St. Ursula and her 11,000 virgins because there are so many little islands that dot the area; most are uninhabited. This means that you can stop at any of them for a romantic moonlight dinner, and private dancing on the beach afterward. All your most romantic fantasies can be lived out here on sun-warmed beaches next to deep blue waters.

Lanzorate, Canary Island, True Beach Holiday

Hope Lanzorate is not unknown name for all of you. It is the fourth lagets island in Canary Island in Spain. Spain is almost tourism destination for all of us, when we think about beach holiday in spain, may nor remove canary islands from the short list.

If we think about when is the best time to go Lanzorate, I think all around the year may not be a problem. It has warm climate every day in the year. Even at off season, other than summer, I prefer to go there coz, climate and less crowd is allow us to have fruitful holiday.

I heard no several cheap flights also have their service to Lanzorate from main airports in the world. It is plus point to plan holidays to beach destination like Lanzorate, coz we can save money from flights to hotels and foods by using discount flights

One thing I like to see there, is the caves of Los verdes formed 3000 years ago.

White sand beaches in north island and golden sand beaches of Puerto Del Carmen and black sand beaches of Playa Quemada is beaches option available for us.

There are many church festivals in Lanzarote, the major faith being Catholic and there are other festivals most months. When ever we go there we can see some festivals happening and true Spanish spirit there to enjoy.

A Concise Look at London Hotels

London while famous for its many tourist attractions also is famous in the world for its wonderful and fabulous hotels. There are many options from the very lavish to the cute and quaint to choose from when visiting this historical city.

Most of the hotels in the city are high-class so travelers will not have problems regarding their amenities and services. To avoid experiencing hassles, it is best that travelers make advance bookings with the management of the hotels to enjoy their stay at the city to the fullest.

Known as one of the most advanced and urbanized cities in the world, London contributes 17 percent of the income of entire United Kingdom. This fabulous and beautiful city in England houses elegant as well as stylish hotels to accommodate the great number of travelers that visit the country every year. Because of the presence of attractive hotels in London, the city government highly values its tourism sector since it is one of the major sources of the income of the city.

Origin of Hotels in London City

The establishment and construction of hotels in London City began few years after the 19th century. Many historians agree that wealthy owners of agricultural lands in England stay in some hotels in the city for several months to relax. However, even if there are already hotels during this time, only few people stay in London hotels because transportation infrastructures were not yet developed.

During the 1860s, railroads were constructed in the city. The construction of railroads in London affected the popularization of London hotels. Because the number of travelers who stayed in London hotels has increased in this decade, many business people built elegant hotels to attract many people. Hence, in 1865 the first London hotel with hydraulic lifts, Langham Hotel, was constructed.

Old London Hotels That Are Still in Business

Good services and attractive room amenities are the reasons why some old hotels in London manage to stay in business up to present times. Aside from efficient services, these hotels always make sure that their guests have comfortable and relaxing rooms to stay. Midland Grand Hotel, Hilton London Paddington, Great Northern Hotel and Landmark Hotel are some of the popular old hotels in London City.

Modern Hotels in London

Studies show that there are more than 100,000 rooms in London hotels today. Many hotels in the city receive three to five stars rating. Travelers who want to see elegant and first class hotels should visit Mayfair, because it is where they can find top rated hotels. Examples of five star hotels in the city are The Ritz, The Savoy, The Four Seasons, The London Hilton and The Renaissance Chancery.

Travelers who want to visit London must make advance reservations with the hotels where they wish to stay since there are times in a year that the population of tourists in the city rapidly increases. Hence, by staying in the alluring and sophisticated hotels in London, travelers will definitely have the greatest and most memorable vacation

What you have to think about your hotel Booking ?

This is another good article I read today, when we book our hotel, we have to more careful, coz every hotel may not offer same facilities all the times, sometimes through internet we read and see some misleading information and when we arrive at the hotel real experience is not as stated, so before we book the hotel for our annual vacation, we have to search, search , search till you confirm the hotel booking, anywhere in the world.

Read this too,

Would you choose a hotel room for yourself, if you knew it was not accessible to the fire department? That is exactly what you are doing if you are housed in a room any higher then the 6th floor! The 6th floor is the maximum height that the standard fire departments ladders can reach. If at all possible, select rooms lower then the 6th floor.

Stay away from the ground floor where there is doors and windows that open to the outside. Hotels with interior hallways tend to be safer. Rooms that are facing the courtyards are generally safer then those facing the direct parking lot.

Always check your rooms closet and bathroom for intruders upon entering. Always keep your key in the same place closes to your bed in case there is an emergency in the middle of the night. You will need your key to re-enter your room after the incident is resolved.

Do you know the difference between a 2-way mirror and a standard mirror? A 2-way mirror looks like a seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on a wall. The difference is a person can see you, but you cannot see them. Give all mirrors the "fingernail test." Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface of the mirror. There should be a "gap" between your fingernail and the image. If there is, that is a genuine mirror. If there is no gap and your fingernail directly touches the image then this is a 2-way mirror. There is a simple saying that goes with this advice, "No space, leave the place"!

Rooms with electronic keys are much safer then the standard key. With the electronic key the combination is changed with each new guest, unlike the standard keys with the same room numbers. Always use your deadbolts. If the door only has a chain, then twist the chain tightly before latching it.

When you exit your room, always leave the TV on. When you exit your room at night, leave the drapes slightly open with a light on, creating the illusion that someone is still there. Laptops should never be left in your room. They should be taken down to the lobby desk for safe keeping. You wouldn't display your purse or wallet in the middle of a hotel table, but we consistently do this with our computers. If you are dead set against taking it down to the lobby, you could find the safety chains that are usually located in the hotel room closet and fasten your laptop to the sink in your bathroom.

Although, you hate to think of being physically accosted during a vacation or business trip, it does happen and you should be prepared. Always carry a small bundle of bait money that you have readily available to hand over to your assailant. Make sure that the outside bill is the largest denomination with the remaining inner bundle consisting of ones.

I actually carry two wallets in my purse, just in case I am approached for money. In my first wallet I carry cash, license and credit cards and keep it at the bottom of my purse. My second wallet holds only old photos, some change and a few dollar bills which I keep on the top. I also carry a small can of pepper spray in the side pocket.

Of course if they steal my whole pocketbook, then there is not much else I can do, which leads to my last tip. Ladies, when walking in a crowded area or unfamiliar place try to carry your purse clutched tightly in front of your body, not loosely on your shoulder or dangling from your hand.

Do you manage your budget for travel planning well? Here some tips to follow

This article was found on budget saving for vacation. How to have balance spending for air tickets, hotel rooms, local transport, theme parks and any other activities, it is better to read it.

Budget travel has become a necessity for most people with the cost of gasoline and other consumer products on the rise. But when we start considering when, where, how and what type of vacation to undertake, we sometimes get caught up in the anticipation and excitement of the upcoming trip and let the more important financial side of things slip a little. After all, for most of us, taking a vacation may only happen once a year and for some, even more infrequently, so we tend to indulge and forget about our pocket book a little.

There are many ways to save money, avoid unnecessary cost, ensure you take care of details end up a smart and perceptive traveler. Travel planning is easier that you might think and here are eight great budget travel tips for making your travel dollar go further!

1. Cushion your budget - When considering a trip or planning budget travel, it is important to plan for the unexpected and consider the financial side of things early on. This ensures affordability, liquidity and having the resources to enjoy it to the fullest! Plan for the worst-case financial scenario and prepare for things to cost a little more than you expected. Allow up to 20% increase in cost to be on the safe side of things.

2. Emergency money: Carrying some spare cash somewhere can also be a lifesaver. The rule of thumb seems to be around $50-$100 in small bills. This can be used for incidentals, ground-transportation like cab fare and/or your return home, tips and more.

3. Set your priorities: Set some budget travel spending priorities and criteria in advance, like eating at a special restaurant or attending a concert, even if this means sacrificing a bit on lodgings or visa versa, depending on what is more important to you.

4. Keep an eye on your credit cards: It is extremely easy these days to have access to your financial resources through ATM's and credit cards. Just remember that it is just as easy to overspend because of it being so readily available. A little discipline will go a long way to protect your financial interest and help you stick to your travel budget.

5. Maximize gas mileage and efficiency: If you're planning a road trip, make sure that your car has been serviced at least a week before your trip. A well-maintained vehicle will go a long way to ensure carefree driving. If your budget allows, you may consider renting a vehicle to save wear and tear on your own. Small economy cars are better on gas and are much more comfortable than they used to be. Minivans and sport utility vehicles are practical only if you have to transport a large family with a lot of equipment or luggage.

6. Gas fill-ups: For filling up your car en route, avoid pushing to the limit until the gas runs out. Gas will obviously be more expensive when filling up in remote locations. If you miscalculated and the light on the dashboard indicates that you are really in need, opt for filling just half a tank until you reach the next more densely or major populated destination, where gas might be a little cheaper.

7. Pack-a-snack: Bring your own refreshments and snacks. Gas station prices on drinks and snack food are high. Avoid these during a pit stop, if you are counting your budget travel dollars. A cooler packed with lots of cool drinks, water and ice and/or a thermos of coffee or hot water for tea, some fruit, granola bars, or a sandwich, goes a long way to still the hunger and save you money by avoiding all high priced stops en route.

8. Travel necessities: It is advisable to travel with basic necessities, like a cell phone and a first aid kit, since both can prove to be essential in emergencies. Most people have cell phones at their disposal, but in the event that you are not one of them, a prepaid cell phone may be the answer for your trip. The peace of mind it offers is worth the small investment. Cell phones can also save on hefty surcharges and higher long distance rates that hotels and resorts often charge.

Budget travel requires close attention to all things financial before and during your trip. Planning a trip or vacation can be a little time consuming but following these travel tips will hopefully save you a lot of headaches as well as some unnecessary interest charges on your credit card balances later! You will thank yourself for your fiscal restraint and spending discipline, upfront planning, foresight and forward thinking!

Internet is more popular among UK people for research and book holiday

According to an online shopping survey conducted by Foolprof, internet is more popular among UK people for planning their holidays. 87% respondent said, they intended to use internet to research next holiday and short breaks. But still small segment prefer to go high street travel agents or operators to book holidays ( 24%). Other preferd methods are through telephone and face to face arrangement. These two segments comprised from 8% of total respondents.

But here is interesting finding too. Still (40% ) considerable of people go to high street travel agents to get the brochures to collect more information, before book through internet. They said, the available information on internet is not sufficient to get correct decision sometimes. But make booking through Online is very easy than agents.

Currently 60% UK adults are online and this trend is set to grow over the next five years significantly. This trend is not sound alarm to High street travel agents and operators. And good news to online travel agents.

One strategy came to my mind just now, High street travel agents better to think about merging possibilities with Online companies now. This is not new and hard thing to do, coz online companies are happy to merge, expedia, lastminutes.com and booking.com main online presence are acquiring most of profitable avenue daily basis.

Funniest Traveler Comments of 2007 - Trip Advisor

TripAdvisor(R), the world's largest travel community has announced the ten funniest traveler posts of 2007, as chosen by TripAdvisor editors.

1. Not So Great Expectations "I could have done without the blood-stained mattress and the (actual) chunk of poop on my bedspread, but I didn't expect the Hilton."

2. Rest in Peace "I spent the night in the (hotel) room and experienced a friendly spirit. This presence got into bed with me, an old lady, she was nice and I just patted her on the head and we had a comfortable restful sleep. I think I will ask for a different room next time."

3. Mime Over Matter "The neighborhood is filled with aggressive mimes, including one sitting on a toilet bowl (how creative). Room cards are changed for no reason and you cannot understand why you can't get into your room. All in all it was a very unpleasant stay."

4. Deep Thoughts "Time could be spent pondering over the meaning of some of the many safety signs around the complex. Out of the several we managed to identify, the two we found to be of greatest use were 1. Not to step on any crocodiles whilst bare foot, and 2. No ugly, or spotty children to frequent the pool."

5. Is That Really What You Meant? "I echo the sentiments of the previous reviewer. The ambience is lacking to be sure, but the food is like angels copulating on your tongue."

6. Freezing Over "Sleeping in the street during a blizzard would be better than staying at this hell-hole. The place should be imploded."

7. No Accounting for Taste "Subject: Crab Trap Restaurant. We enjoyed our experience at the Crap Trap. The food is very good with nice size portions and reasonable prices (especially for the shore). The only down side is the wait."

8. A Sore for Sight Eyes "Food not special, and the couple that lives there with their dog is very 'homey' and 'folksy' types. Not for everyone. The premises are well kept, but some private parts we could see thru open door were not."

9. Leave It to Beaver "Imagine awakening at 4:00 am to the sound of loud footsteps in the stairwell, only to realize that someone is drunk and knocking on your hotel door saying, 'Beaver...it's me. Let me in, Beaver.'"

10. The Last Laugh "In fact, I told the management there that I was putting a review on your website about their poor service and they laughed at me and said go right ahead, nobody reads the TripAdvisor site."

Pisa's leaning tower 'stabilised'

Visiting to Florence or Pisa in Italy may be a dream of most of travelers and if anyone had a chance to visit Florence or Pisa, don’t miss the leaning tower of Pisa. Everyone know, it is one of seven wonders and construction began in 1173, due to poor planning and building laid constructions today leaning tower is leans at the angel of 3.97 degrees .

3 Days in Rome

Visiting Rome once in a life is must, we have so many reason to it, the history, modern developments, fashion etc. Actually 3 days is not enough to cover all the must places to visit in Rome. But at least need three days to see most popular place there. I listed most places anyone can visit Rome.

St Peters

Pantheon

St. Peters in Chains (vincole)

Spanish Steps

Fontana de Trevi

Piazza Navona and the three fountains

Cat Sanctuary at Argentina

Pont St. Angelo

Capitoline Hill

The Sistine Chapel

Walking around the Colosseum and nearby Arch

A stroll down via Guilia

Rome Pass

Get a Rome pass, it offers free use of public transport and two free museum entrance tickets. Sometimes they offer discounts for selective venues and events.

While you visiting historic places, you can do shopping too. But be aware, some shops are extremely costly. Your wallet may not enough to buy all the item you see. I heard there are bargain shops, but could not remember the places, once I notice will keep a note.
